OUR TRAINING CLASSES & 1-1 HOME VISITS Puppy Socialisation & learning , Adolescent, Clicker Training Classes and more!

It's always best to teach your dog from puppyhood, throughout adolescence and adulthood. Keeping your dog brushed up with cues and social confidence. Our classes and one to one home visits use positive, force-free, hands-free, science-based methods only. This not only releases the 'feel good' chemicals in their brain, the central nervous system and makes them feel in a happy, in a well balanced frame of mind. The bond, mutral respect and communication levels increase and support a fantastic future and life with your dog.
One to One's or classes may be an option if your dog is not quite ready to be in a dog daycare environment, for example if they are too fearful, anxious or over excited, we may need to work with them before continuing with the daycare arrangements. We are very supportive and encouraging, so any problems can be changed with dedicated training from the owners.
Jenny also provides a One to One 'Pre Pup/Rescue' session, which supports all essential need-to-know information before you get your pup or rescue.

DOGS LOVE TO LEARN AND DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, UNDERSTAND THEIR HUMANS MORE AND MOST OF ALL, THEY LOVE TO PLEASE!

WHAT IS CLICKER TRAINING?

Jenny's Clicker Training classes cover basic cues using hand signals, something dogs understand a lot more than voice cues. You will learn how to train eye contact, sit, lay, stay, recalls and lots more. This is to be practised at home too, asking your dog to sit and wait before you open the back or front door or lay and stay in their bed while you walk around the house. The more you train and have fun at home, the more you will progress and have a well behaved dog.

This training helps many unwanted and wanted behaviours, from separation anxiety to stress levels before a walk, visitor greetings and even fun tricks.

Developing other hand signal cues like 'no bark', bark, toilet training in a particular spot in the garden, jobs around the home like retrieving slippers or the paper. There is plenty to do and dogs LOVE training - especially the clicker!
Results from this positive training method are having a relaxed, calmer and more assertive dog. Their tail will relax during training, which demonstrates how Clicker Training can take the dogs anxieties away and teach it a healthier mind frame, using their brain and therefore having a more content dog that understands what its role should be in life.

Positive training develops the level of fun and understanding between you and your dog, making the relationship you have with your dog really solid. Your dog will listen and work harder for you, also communicating more with you as your language will be understood by them.

There is a certain way to introduce the Clicker with your dog, if this is not done correctly, the Clicker won't work and can confuse your dog,

Puppy playgroup

This class is for very young pups and helps them to build confidence and play with each other, whilst socialising within the human environment. We have various floorboards for the pups to experience, they may need to get used to laminate floors that are in your home!

We have socialisation sounds playing in the background like fireworks, doorbells and traffic whilst they play. Various toys and tunnels are provided in the puppy playroom, we also develop their re-call and sits as well as health checks so they get used to having their mouths checked, paws and ears looked at and handled positively, so they become comfortable with aspects of the human world and the experiences they are going to face.

Tip: Its really important positive training is continued after puppyhood, threw adolescence and into maturity. Dogs love learning, young and old, they need practice and reminding throughout their life, not just puppyhood!
